Spent explores the relationship between technology, routine and data.  In Spent, the artist is observing her digital calendars, interpreting the colorful display of her time.  The work featured in this portfolio is from one week of the series. Each painting is a day, with the final image representing the week. She’s codified her routines, frustrations, obligations and loves.  Is this how she wants to spend her life?The project raises bigger questions for the general audience – what does data mean in our own lives? Have you thought about how much is known about you? What is the line between data and self?
